Preparation
1-2 days before:
-
Use Exfoliating scrub and gloves to lightly exfoliate the area 24-48 hours prior to your appointment to remove dead skin.
-
Use Moisturiser on your skin on the days before, but do not apply moisturiser on the day of your waxing as it will interfere with your results
On the day:
-
Hairs should be about ½ a centimetre long (about the length of a grain of rice). Do not shave before your appointment. You may trim the area carefully, but not too short.
-
Wear loose, comfortable clothing after waxing to avoid irritation
Post treatment
Your skin will be slightly pink and spotty post waxing and may feel a little irritated. Don’t worry! This will go away usually overnight but may take up to 72 hours and the end results are worth it.
Immediately after:
-
Avoid hot showers (cool to warm temperatures are ok!), baths, saunas, swimming, strenuous exercise, deodorant , sun exposure or fake tan for at least 24 hours after your wax
1-2 days after:
-
Continue your regular moisturising routine to keep the skin moisturised but avoid any exfoliation.
-
We recommend using Bump Eraser after all waxing to soften the hair follicle and help prevent ingrown hairs.
1 week after:
-
Exfoliate twice a week with a scrub and exfoliating glove and continue to moisturise daily.
With consistent waxing, you will remain hair free for up to two weeks. Hairs will return softer and lighter over time. We recommend booking a regular waxing schedule based on your hair growth and lifestyle, usually 4-6 weeks.
